Our Collaborative Production Model

At Off The Leash Theatre, we are passionate about creating exciting performance opportunities while supporting emerging and local talent in a realistic and sustainable way.

As an independent theatre company, many of our productions operate using a collaborative profit-share model. This allows performers, creatives, and production teams to work together creatively while sharing in the success of the production.

Rather than traditional professional contracts, cast members involved in selected productions may receive a percentage-based share of box office income or a small honorarium payment, depending on the scale and nature of the project. Full details are always discussed transparently before rehearsals begin.

We believe theatre is at its strongest when built on collaboration, creativity, and shared investment in the work being created. While Off The Leash Theatre is committed to maintaining professional standards, we are equally passionate about providing accessible opportunities for performers to gain experience, develop creatively, build confidence, and be part of ambitious productions within a supportive environment.

Alongside performance opportunities, we encourage cast members to play an active role in promoting productions, engaging audiences, and helping us grow an exciting and connected theatre community.

Our long-term vision is to continue expanding opportunities for artists while developing sustainable pathways for paid creative work within independent theatre.
